- This book will leave you sighing. It is full of a roller coaster of emotions, a wee bit of deception, lots of love, steam, and happy surprises. Riley is swoon worthy and his Irish accent will grab you and make you want to run off to Ireland. Gwen is a lovely, caring person and deserves to be happy. You'll be rooting for them from the first page to the very end.
- Gwenn and Rilley had grown up together but haven't seen each other since Gwenn went off to college. Now Gwenn is coming back home and Rilley has just received some devastating news. As the two reconnect, feelings that have been kept hidden begin to surface. The attraction they have always felt is stronger than ever. When Rilley learns what his grandfather did, he can't believe it. Now he's ready to win Gwenn over and face whatever the consequences may be from Gwenn's brother/his best friend. This was such a sweet and enjoyable read!
I voluntarily reviewed a ARC - I loved this book! It was such a wonderfully written story that made me so happy in the end. I always expect to be taken on a wild ride of emotions with the author’s books and this one was no exception. Gwen and Reilly’s story is romantic, hot, full of drama and a must read.
Final Rating 5 Stars - I really enjoyed this book. The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.
- I know their doubts and their wishy washy, flip-flopping were the major conflict in this story because you "don't hurt your best 'lad' or your brother" just doesn't wash. Who puts their brother or their true love second to anyone? Ladies, I love you and the three stars are for your excellent writing skills and that you care enough to make sure that everything is written well. You respect your readers and I really appreciate that. I will always read your books, I just don't like weenies like Gwen and Reilly. I'm laughing because auto correct changed "weenies" three times! Nobody likes weenies!
- Quite simply said. this is R.S. Lively's best written book to date, Lucky Daddy is a magnificent read! Lucky Daddy is a full length read, and this best of the best RomCom fits into so many romance genre's, second chance romance, brothers best friend & surprise baby. Holy heck, how are all those genre's possible in 1 book, it only goes to prove that R.S. Lively is one fabulous, amazing, terrific, author. An amazing storyline & plot plus told in dual POVs by wonderful, well developed characters; what more can readers want with this swoon-worthy, panty melting, roller coaster ride of emotions in Lucky Daddy! R.S. Lively you have outdone yourself with this one. Just to give you some idea, Reilly & Gwen have had a thing for each other for years, but, always from afar, neither felt they could tell the other or anyone else for that matter so neither confided in anyone. There was no way either would or could act upon their feelings, after all, they grew up together, Reillly was always at Gwen & Anthony's house, it felt as if Reilly was their adopted brother, and, Gwen's brother Anthony was Reilly's beat friend and Reilly wouldn't go against bro code. All those years swallowing their feelings, until Gwen went away to college & stayed away for her first job. I don't want to give any more than I already have. What happens when Gwen returns home, several years later? Reilly's hotter than every, and his Irish accent, it's woon-worthy & panty-melting! But, Reilly is reeling over his grandfather recent, unexpected death. He's also working to keep his grandfather's beloved bar afloat. Then, Reilly gets the shock of a lifetime, his grandfather won the lottery years ago, invested wisely, left Reilly billions, but, he also left some unusual terms to his will. What were those terms & would Reilly be able to keep his grandfather's bar that he loved. With Reilly and Gwen's sizzling connection & crackling chemistry set to detonate, what's the future hold for these two? What will Anthony think of his little sister & his best friend together? Will he accept if they were to have a relationship or are they doomed from the start? Could they ever get to their HEA? What a bumpy, twisted ride of emotions pricipated by one touch, one kiss, cause deep down they both have known for years, they have an unbreakable bond & a magicial connection that will last a lifetime! No question, I would absolutely recommend Lucky Daddy by R.S. Lively.
I did receive an advanced copy from the author but also purchase my own copy of this fantastic book, and, am voluntarily leaving my own opinion with my voluntary review. - I loved this story about Reily and Gwen who have loved each other from afar for years and never did anything about it. I could just hear Reilly’s Irish accent! Great book!
- I enjoyed the story, and could relate to the situation, as my first love was my brother's best friend. However, I felt at times that the female character, Gwen, was childish. But, the plot was good and I loved Reilly.
